The 3rd race of the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon weekend was the WDW Half Marathon. This was also the 3rd race of the 3rd annual Dopey Challenge and 1st race of the 11th annual Goofy Challenge. The WDW Half began at Epcot at 5:30am with fireworks for each corral release. Since our costume theme of the weekend was “classic Disney” we dressed as Walt Disney World’s edition of
The 2nd race of the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon weekend was the WDW 10K. There were no changes to this course this year. Persistent rain did limit course entertainment, but as you can see from our video above we still had a great time. It has become a tradition to kick off the new year with a trip down to Walt Disney World’s Marathon weekend. 2016 marked my 8th year running the marathon, my 7th Goofy Challenge, my 6th 5K and my 3rd Dopey Challenge. It’s an exhausting “weekend” of early mornings wake up calls, visits with family and friends with lots and lots of running – and I wouldn’t
The #AvengeTheStrip challenge is a made up challenge by a couple of over zealous runners. We called our made up challenge #AvengeTheStrip because we were combining both the runDisney Avengers half marathon weekend races with the Rock ’n’ Roll Las Vegas #StripAtNight marathon. The reason to attempt to run both races in 1 weekend? To maximize the travel for a race weekend and see if
Please note – some of the photos are coming through sideways. I apologize. I’ve tried to fix them, but they appear differently when viewed on a PC, versus a MAC, versus on a mobile device. I’ve giving up. The 3rd annual Disneyland 10K took place Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 5:30am. This was Perfectly Goofy Gail and my 3rd running this race as part of
Disclaimer: I received complimentary race entries for my participation in the Run and Ride Race events, however, the thoughts and opinions are my own. Accommodations: The plan to #RunAllTheRaces at Run and Ride’s Cedar Point Half Marathon‘s 2015 weekend was a no-brainier for me. My family and I ran the inaugural races last year with Perfectly Goofy Gail and we all on board to make the
Now that April is upon us, I finally have my 2015 Race Calendar set. And even though I swore and promised my coach I would NOT run as many races as last year – see 2014’s Race Calendar – I still have 50 races currently on the 2015 roster (of which I’ve already run 17 races: 2 Full Marathons, 3 Halfs, 3 10K’s, 1 5-miler,
As I write my race report for the 2014 New York City Marathon, I am contemplating throwing my name into the 2015 NYC lottery for the 5th time…to enter the 2015 TCS NYC Marathon Lottery Click Here. On November 2, 2014, I was lucky enough to run my 2nd New York City Marathon in 2 years. I had run NYC in 2013 through guaranteed entry having been
I kicked off my birthday week running the 5th Hershey Half Marathon, held on Sunday, October 19, 2014. The race was $75 and included a long sleeve tech, goodie bag, finisher’s medal and 2 tickets to Hersheypark in the Dark! As a frequent theme and amusement park patron, race entries which include park tickets entice me to participate and to bring my family along for the weekend.
I’m not one for spontaneous decisions, but once I found out my BRF, Alison, would be heading up to Maine to run the Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon in Portland Maine, I decided to crash her party! Heck my plan called for 14-miles anyway – I might as use the race as a training run with a cool medal as a bonus. Plus Alison’s sister
